Review of Ogio Gambit 17 Laptop Backpack

Conclusion

The Ogio Gambit 17 is great bag overall, it’s very well made and it’s got plenty of pockets for everything you need for your day or weekend trip. The Gambit 17 is a bag for not only everyday but for everywhere really, you can use it for school, work or out on a hiking trip.

The side pockets are small but big enough for things like phone and even the power supply of your laptop. The tablet pocket can come in handy, I know I’ll be using it more than any other pocket as I take my tablet with me everywhere.

If you see me out I’ll be wearing my sunglasses as my eyes are light sensitive and one of the things that always bugged me was nowhere to put them when I went inside. The Gambit 17 has a very nice and well built hard case inside of it it to protect your glasses or sunglasses while not wearing them. I love this feature and I’ve never seen it before in any bag I’ve ever owned.

Yes it might be issue if you buy this bag thinking you’ll fit up to a 15 inch laptop in it as it won’t fit most likely. For me this isn’t an issue at all as I don’t take my laptop with me, I take my tablet which fits just fine. I put my smaller seven inch tablet in the actual tablet pocket and then I have my second ten inch tablet in a sleeve and it fits perfectly into the laptop compartment.

Other than that small issue with the laptop compartment size I really like the Gambit 17, I love the looks of it and to me it seems very well made. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and it’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time walking distances. I did find the straps do slip off my shoulders at times, but I secured the chest strap to stop it, so it’s not too big of a deal.
