Namco Launches New Casual PC Game, Cat Wash

Cat Wash?!? Hmm… I’m curious…

The distinctively retro feel of the 1970s is brought together with the charm and humor of our feline friends in Cat Wash, the newest casual PC game from Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of interactive entertainment for mass-market casual gamers.

Cat Wash is an unforgettable Time Management experience that puts players in charge of running the grooviest pet grooming shop in town! Using her Uncle Oswald’s invention, the Feline Wash-o-Matic, players must keep the kitties mellow as they wash, dry, and clip them in style! With a great disco soundtrack, players can’t help but boogie down as customers drop off their muddy pets!

“Namco is committed to bringing new and unique titles to the casual game space, not only in Time Management, but across all casual genres,” said David Schwartz, general manager of PC games at Namco Networks. “With its cat-based minigames and disco-inspired soundtrack, Cat Wash’s charm appeals not only to fans of cats and disco, but to the entire PC Casual audience as well.”

“Working with Namco has been like taking the casual industry back to its roots,” said John Swiderski, president at developer Mean Hamster Studios. “While others are making waves by changing prices and creating more of the same, Namco is making them by daring to be different.”

Cat Wash features:

  • 40 levels of groovy Time Management fun.
  • 8 cat-filled minigames to keep the party going.
  • Far-out upgrades like shag carpeting and a disco ball for the shop.
  • A 70’s soundtrack that will make you jump up and boogie down.

A free 60-minute trial of Cat Wash can be downloaded at namcogames.com/pc_games. Once purchased for $9.99, players can enjoy the game at anytime. A Mac version of the game will be available later this year.

In addition to downloadable PC games, in the coming months, namcogames.com will also feature free flash games and a variety of new and classic games for PC, iPhone, and mobile phones.
