Patriot Sector 5 DDR3-2400 4GB Memory Kit Review
Summary: "Quite a few memory manufacturers have taken advantage of the very strong IMCs (integrated memory controllers) on Intel’s i7 CPUs. Patriot has thrown its hat in the ring with kits as fast as DDR3-2500. Today we’re going to be digging in to their second-highest clocked kit coming in at DDR3-2400 with timings of 9-11-9-27."

OCZ RevoDrive 120GB PCI Express SSD @ Techgage

Link: http://techgage.com/article/ocz_revodrive_120gb_pci_express_ssd/

Quote: Looking to upgrade your PC with a fast SSD? How fast do you want it? If you answered "ultra fast", then OCZ’s RevoDrive is worth a look. With read speeds of 500MB/s and beyond, a PCI Express interface, and a modest price premium, this SSD is hard to ignore. We’re on the bleeding-edge here, though, so this drive isn’t without a few caveats.

NAS Cases Compared – Array R2 Mini ITX NAS Case Review

Now that we have affordable unlimited internet in Belgium, the need for storage has grown. Of course you can fill your computer with hard disks, or to make it easier to share you can buy a bunch of external disks. But in my opinion a dedicated solution for storage, such as a NAS would be more practical. In this review we’ll be taking a look at some solutions.

Thecus N7700Pro Network Attached Storage Review at Overclockers Online
Link: http://www.overclockersonline.net/reviews/thecus-n7700pro-network-attached-storage/
Quote: Thecus’ N7700Pro belong in a class of its own. The N7700Pro is a robust platform. With today’s 2TB drives, in RAID 5 the N7700Pro can host a 12TB array and that’s simply something that carries some weight. The system is powered by a Core 2 Duo CPU and is outfitted with 4GB of RAM making it the most powerful NAS devices we’ve reviewed to date.

OCZ 60GB Agility 2 SATA II SSD Review at CCE Reviews
Link: http://www.ccereviews.com/reviews/ocz-60gb-agility-2-sata-ii-ssd/
Quote: We’ve done a number of tests and the results are clear, the OCZ Agility 2 with the SandForce 1200 Controller is a winner. The sequential and random read and write performance is spectacular. We achieved 285MB/s read and 275 MB/s write – this was with an operating system installed, not just when using the Agility 2 as a secondary drive. For those who want nothing but speed should certainly consider the OCZ Agility 2 in any one of the capacities ranging from 40GB to 480GB! With the aggressive pricing from OCZ, you won’t be disappointed.

Samsung HZ35W / WB650 GPS Digital Camera.

Samsung once again wants to show the world they are innovators in the point-n-shoot camera arena. They want to show the world you can have a "super zoom" camera with advanced features which is not as big as a brick. They also want to show you don’t need external attachments to get GPS/Geo-Tagging. To do all this, Samsung have released their HZ35W / WB650 15x compact Point & Shoot camera. Can one camera do all this? Read on for my full review.

PureDigital Flip MinoHD Video Camera
URL: http://www.bcchardware.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=8983&Itemid=40
Quote:

The Flip MinoHD is a nice little upgrade from the Flip Ultra.  The addition of 720p 30fps video recording is very nice as is the mini-HDMI output on this camera.  The MinoHD 8GB version may be a bit smaller than the Flip Ultra, but it comes with better video quality, nice capacitive touch controls, smoother zoom, and the simplicity that goes with all Flip Video cameras. . .

Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headset

Today for review I’ve got what has to be the best gaming headset on the market today. It’s features full 5.1 surround sound, but it’s not simulated like other headphones, this is real, as real as you’re going to get. It’s from Psyko Audio and it’s simply called the Psyko Audio 5.1 Gaming Headset. It’s  fairly simple name but it’s not a simple product, in fact it’s a spectacular one. if you enjoy gaming then prepare to take things to the next level with the best gaming headset on the market today.

Samsung Epic 4G Review
"In the universe of Samsung’s Galaxy S phones, Sprint’s Epic 4G, may be the brightest star, and not just because it’s the only 4G model of the bunch. The Epic is shockingly light, considering it’s a third thicker than the other also abnormally lightweight Galaxy S models, because of its slideout horizontal keyboard. But that keyboard elevates Epic’s superiority over not only its Galaxy S siblings but over Sprint’s first 4G phone, the EVO 4G, to which it is more appropriate to compare."

Arctic Cooling C1 Mobile Solar Charger
Quote: " Green. That’s the new buzzword. Sure, you can be as green as you want. Don’t force everyone else to be, though. If you are in with the trend, Arctic Cooling has a product for you. The C1 Mobile is a portable power source with a solar panel for sun based charging. Being green doesn’t mean expensive and this product works very well. "

Review: Motorola CLIQ XT @ MobilityDigest

I’m back with another review today for you, this one is of the Motorola Cliq XT that’s running Android. The first thing I have to say is that this is a lower end phone, similar to the Motorola Backflip that I already own which I don’t care too much for honestly. The same can be said for the Cliq XT as well, the hardware inside of this phone just isn’t up to the task of handling what you might want to do with it. The price on this phone right now on T-Mobile is Free so that’s something anyway. One of the great things about Android is all of the apps and games out there today, and you’re not going to be doing any type of 3d gaming on this phone at all. The interface itself is rather slow and sluggish, have a couple things running and you’ll know it surely as the phone will just slow to a crawl. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for budget style phones but not when they sacrifice the end-user experience as this one does.

Zalman ZM-NC2500Plus Notebook Cooler Review

Can’t stand the heat? Instead of getting out of the kitchen, it’s probably a better idea to simply invest in a good notebook cooler. More and more people are using laptops these days, but far too few are taking the prudent step of investing in a notebook cooling stand. At the same time, notebook cooler designs are getting better and better. The manufacturers are really starting to “get it.” One of the newest in this evolution is the Zalman ZM-NC2500Plus from Korea. It holds promise, but does it deliver? Let’s find out!

Mobility Digest Review: Krusell Tilt 2 Leather Horizontal Case

In my continued search for cases large enough to handle my extended battery Tilt2, I decided to give the Krusell Horizontal Case a try. As a point of information, I stretch (train) all my cases using a block of wood cut slightly larger than my phone. The blocks stay in the cases when not in use, so they are always ready when I need them. I would rather my case be slightly loose than too tight.

Thermaltake Massive23 LX Notebook Cooler

The other day my door bell rang and it was UPS delivering one of the latest products from Thermaltake called the Massive23 LX. It’s a cooler for netbooks and notebooks ranging from 10” to 17” in size. This new notebook cooler has been redesigned a bit. The top is aluminum making it a large heat sink basically and it has a silent 200mm fan for extra added cooling. This new cooler has built-in handles to make it easy to take with you and a compartment for storing the USB power cable so you won’t lose it. So continue on to learn more..

Add an About the Author to Your WordPress Theme @ Computing on Demand
URL: http://computingondemand.com/add-an-about-the-author-to-your-wordpress-theme

There is a lot of functionality that a plugin can add to your WordPress configuration, but for some reason I can’t feel comfortable relying simply on plugins for everything.  When something simple comes along that can be done without a plugin, I would much rather go that route.  With that said, I had been looking for an easy way to add some information about the author to display on every article.  It turns out that this is VERY easy to do and DOES NOT require any plugins to accomplish.  This solution uses some WordPress hooks…

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 On Linux @ Phoronix
Direct Link: http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=15218
Summary: "NVIDIA formally introduced the GeForce 400 "Fermi" graphics card series in late March when rolling out the GeForce GTX 470 and 480. This launch was followed by the GeForce GTX 465 availability in late May and then in the middle of July there was the launch of the GeForce GTX 460 768MB and GeForce GTX 460 1024MB graphics cards. For the past few weeks we have had our hands on the Palit GeForce GTX 460 768MB graphics card that was sent over by NVIDIA to conduct our first tests of the Fermi / GF100 hardware under Linux. While the GeForce GTX 460 isn’t clocked as high as the GeForce GTX 480 and has a slimmed down core, its performance is rather nice for being a $200 USD graphics card and is able to pack a performance punch when using NVIDIA’s proprietary Linux driver."

DDR3 Memory Overclocking Charts Based On 200.000+ Results

Everyone knows that the HWBOT database is filled with benchmark results, overclocking data and so much more. One of the perks of having a database like this is not only to amuse (and annoy) overclockers globally, but mainly to analyze the results afterwards and have a better understanding of how the overclocking game really works. Processor and video card charts are scattered around the website, but memory overclocking charts is something we have not touched before.
